School Attendance Management Software
Teachers mark their class's attendance from any phone or computer. The office sees attendance reports without adding up registers, and parents check their own child's attendance.
Why paper attendance costs more than it looks
A paper attendance register is cheap to buy and expensive to run. Each class has its own register. At the end of the month someone adds up every page by hand. When a parent or the principal asks how often a child has been absent this term, the answer takes time to find. Registers get damaged or lost, and the totals are only as good as the person adding them up.
Attendance software moves the register into one shared record. The teacher marks attendance once, and everyone who needs it can see it without anyone re-adding numbers.
How attendance works in EduTechMonitor
1. Teachers mark attendance for their class. Each teacher has their own login. They open their class, mark who is present and absent, and save. It works in the web browser of any phone, tablet or computer, so there is nothing to install.
2. The office sees attendance reports. Attendance is saved against each student, so the office and the principal can see attendance reports without collecting and adding up registers.
3. Parents see their child's attendance. Parents log in with a one-time password sent by SMS to their registered mobile number. There is no password to forget. They see their child's attendance there, along with the timetable and fees.
4. Each branch handles its own attendance. In a trust with several schools or branches, each branch runs its own attendance under its own admin. See multi-branch schools.

Tracking the minimum attendance rule
Many boards set a minimum attendance a student needs to sit the final exams. CBSE, for example, commonly applies a 75% rule. Your board's current circular is the authority on the exact rule and its exemptions. Paper registers make this hard to watch during the year. Attendance recorded every day in software makes it much easier to notice a student falling behind early, while there is still time to talk to the family.
Setting it up
Attendance needs your classes, sections and students in EduTechMonitor. During setup, our team imports your student list from your spreadsheet together with your office, so teachers can start marking attendance from a date you choose. Our guide How to import student data from Excel explains how to prepare that sheet.
Then we train your teachers and office staff, so everyone has marked attendance at least once with us before you go live.
Part of the full school software
Attendance is one part of EduTechMonitor, the school management software made by Sajre Edutech in Dharwad. The same student records are used for admissions and student records, fees and receipts, class timetables, staff records and parent login. It is not a separate attendance app.
Price, refund and support
There is one plan, SGMS, and it includes attendance and everything else listed on our school management software page. It costs ₹1,20,000 a year + 18% GST for up to 250 students. Above 250 students, it is ₹20 per student per month + GST. If it doesn't suit you, ask for a full refund within 21 days of your first payment.
Support is by phone, WhatsApp and email, Monday to Saturday, 10 am to 6 pm IST, and we reply within one working day. When something can't be fixed over the phone, our Dharwad team visits by appointment.
