Free School Fee Receipt Generator (Print or Save as PDF)

TL;DR: Fill in the school, student and fee heads below, check the total in words, then click Print or save as PDF. The receipt follows the field list in our school fee receipt format guide. Nothing you type leaves your browser.

How to use it

1. Type the school's name and address once. Most browsers remember them for next time.
2. Give each receipt the next number in your series. Never skip or reuse a number.
3. Add one line per fee head (tuition, exam, transport and so on). The total and the amount in words update by themselves.
4. Choose the payment mode and type the UPI reference, cheque number or UTR. This is what settles most disputes later.
5. Click Print or save as PDF. The page prints only the receipt.

Good habits for fee receipts

• One running series. If two people write receipts, give each a separate series (for example A-1, A-2 and B-1, B-2) rather than sharing one book.
• Always write the period. "Term 1" or "April–June" on the receipt stops "I already paid this" arguments.
• Keep the office copy. Save every PDF in one folder named by academic year, or print two copies.
• Education fees carry no GST. See GST on school fees for which charges are exempt.
• Tuition fees and 80C. Parents claiming the income-tax deduction need tuition fee shown separately. See tuition fee receipt for 80C.

When a free generator is not enough

A one-off receipt maker is fine for a few receipts. A school issuing hundreds a term also needs to know who has not paid, print a day's collection report and avoid duplicate numbers.
